The ecos AMAG Symmetry Integration streamlines key and asset management by automatically syncing ecos webman with Symmetry. It enables single-credential access, immediate alarm visibility, and dynamic control based on asset status, enhancing security and reducing administrative tasks.
GENERAL INTEGRATION
The ecos interface imports all AMAG Symmetry cardholders and their basic information, such as first name, last name, e-mail and department, that have valid access to an ecos compartment or ID plug. Cardholders can be imported individually or automatically based on their reader group membership.

Basic configuration of the AMAG Symmetry interface, including the interface address and access data.
Initial one-time import of cardholders and reader groups using ecos webman.
Scheduled automated data import for users and access rights from Symmetry to ecos webman and to export historical transaction data and alarms from ecos webman back to Symmetry.
Key Features
Symmetry Cardholders and Cards
Symmetry cardholder information is mapped directly to ecos webman user profiles. You can configure the card number mapping to match the card format used in Symmetry, so each user keeps one credential for doors and ecos products.
Symmetry Card Status and Expiration Date
The import requires the card to be active and not expired; otherwise, it will skip that user and card. Status changes in Symmetry are synced automatically with ecos.
Symmetry Reader Groups
Access rights in ecos webman are created from Symmetry reader groups. The cardholder must be assigned to a Symmetry reader group that allows access to a specific ecos ID plug or compartment.
ecos Events and Alarms
The events and alarms recorded by ecos products transfer automatically to Symmetry in real time, so you stay informed about important events without switching applications.
Egress Protection
Through group assignments, Symmetry egress protection is also supported, ensuring users can leave a building only after returning all keys and objects to the ecos cabinet.
