Electronic Key Cabinets
Electronic Key Cabinets
Quality-focused key control system
Our electronic key management systems have been used for over ten years. Each ID plug is pulled out and inserted on average every day. This adds up to tens of thousands of uses over their entire lifetime.
The result of years of detailed improvement is a key management system with a minimum number of components. The case is molded in one piece and does not allow access to screws or the internal hinges.
The use of stainless steel elements is aesthetically striking and serves the longevity of our key management system. Even after years of intensive use, the front remains without any signs of wear, adding a high-class touch to your business. Without handles and thanks to the antibacterial properties of stainless steel, this is a secure interface for your business.
Our ¼ -inch ID plugs use a proven technology already used in the first telephone systems at the end of the 19th century. That’s why we offer them a 5-year warranty. ID plugs can support secure, long-term use; even after being pulled out and plugged in thousands of times, they function like new.
The control unit works like modern touch screens but originates from the industrial sector, so it is designed for 24/7 operation. Thanks to the intuitive user interface, your staff will get used to your new key control system more quickly.
What are key management solutions?
Key management solutions are systems designed to manage, track, and secure keys throughout day-to-day operations.
In high-risk industries, using secure key cabinets and key management software enables a business to control access to sensitive keys and track where physical keys are at all times.
Our solution provides peace of mind and confidence in the security of assets, facilities, and vehicles.
Benefits of key management systems
Electronic key control systems run 24/7/365, providing a cost-effective and efficient solution for managing access to keys and assets.
Increase accountability and eliminate manual logs to reduce human error and minimize the risk of loss and theft.
Reduce the time spent searching for misplaced keys and eliminate the costs of replacing missing keys.
Real-time audit reports and automatic email reports improve visibility and control of access to assets, equipment, space, and key cabinets.
Customize your key management system
A single electronic key cabinet can fulfill many applications thanks to our modular design. Different adaptations ensure easy integration into your processes.
You can choose four standard authentication methods for your electronic key management system – PIN code, RFID card, fingerprint and/or vein, or QR code scanner. Readers support all standard card formats for maximum accountability. In addition, we can also combine the different authentication methods as needed.
RFID Reader
Standard Reader
Supports a high-frequency band of 13.56 MHz and the communication protocols Mifare, I-Code, HID, Legic.
Combi Reader
Supports high-frequency band of 13,56 MHz, the low-frequency band of 125 kHz, and the communication protocols Mifare, I-Code, HID (included HID Prox), Legic, Hitag, Unique.
Biometric Reader
Fingerprint Reader
Biometric matching is MINEX/FIPS 201 compliant and FBI PIV IQS certified with FAR (False Acceptance Rate) configurable to 10-8 and a matching speed of up to 0.6s.
Fingervein and Print Reader
Capable of simultaneously capturing and processing finger vein and fingerprint data to deliver unparalleled accuracy and security. Biometric Matching is MINEX/FIPS 201 compliant and FBI PIV IQS certified with adjustable FAR from 10-2 to 10-8
QR-Code Scanner (Camera)
Super fast, error-free reading capability. No need for an additional hardware device. Just your smartphone’s screen is enough. Can be combined with other authentication methods for added security.
Custom Reader
If you are already using a third party reader with specific formats and/ or characteristics, we can integrate them on our systems with ease.
- Customized number of keys
- Adapting the use of an electronic key cabinet
- Personalize key control system software
We know the number of keys you need to manage can change over time. That’s why at ecos, you can choose exactly the number you need and don’t have to expand in increments of 5 or 10. You only pay for what you use. Activate additional slots for your solution with the help of a license code, so there are no delivery charges or need for a technician.
Locked and unlocked slots
When configuring your key cabinet, you can determine the exact number and the exact type of slots. Locked slots provide additional access security because the ID plug is physically secured. With unlocked slots, a user can pull out the keys he is not authorized to use when the door opens. However, an alarm triggers in this case.
Normal and large keys
It is possible to deactivate every second row or use our “wide” front panels to manage large keys over 9cm in length.
Seals and cards
You can choose between different seals according to the importance of the managed keys. With various accessories, credit or RFID cards can also be handled.
You can simply load your company logo onto the control terminal via the software solution; there are no development costs with our software tools. This way, the cabinet can integrate easily into your entrance halls and corridors without needing a complex tech solution suite.
Our modular key management systems make it possible to manage keys and various objects together. With a “Connector” cable, our electronic key cabinet and locker system can be accessed via a single control unit and in one software solution.
It sometimes makes sense to store specific keys in the electronic locker system. A key compartment offers the safest access for highly critical applications, as the key stored in it is managed separately from those in the electronic key lock box.
The thick steel walls of the compartment also protect it from view and unauthorized access. Another strength of our electronic key locker is that it can accommodate additional equipment and keys. Depending on your company processes, this can be documents, ID cards, or smartphones.
We offer a range of five different cabinet sizes to meet your needs. There is space for up to 360 keys in a single key management system’s housing.
Additional cabinets can be connected via extensions without any problems. We recommend a maximum of 5000 keys on one system that controls them. Otherwise, there will be “congestion” at the locker and a security risk due to the spatial distance from the control unit to the unlocked key. The extensions can be retrofitted without any problems.
Security incorporated electronic key cabinet
As the central interface in the company, we tamper-proof our system against a range of possible dangers and unauthorized access. Our electronic key cabinets are designed with your security requirements in mind.
- Built-in video surveillance
- Alarm relay for further actions
- Two-step emergency mode
- Internally secured and encrypted
The camera and microphone can record every action on the key management program, such as opening the door, pulling & inserting the keys, or opening the control panel. This allows the administrator to manage user identification without a doubt.
In addition to the default alarms, such as push notifications or e-mail, potential-free contacts can trigger immediate actions. In addition to the four potential-free contacts always included, further ones can be installed. Switching relays can also be installed. Sharing status information is useful for the control center or locking the room.
The integrated emergency battery allows our electronic key cabinet to continue running without interruption for up to 12 hours if there is a power failure or the power connection has been disconnected.
Without power, the key cabinet can still be used manually. With an administrator key, all keys can be accessed in a few simple steps.
Manual access is secured against unauthorized entry with a range of high-security locks. We can also install your personal locks.
The internal hardware components and firmware architecture are encrypted using elliptic curve cryptography (ECC). This means that even in the unlikely event of a foreign intrusion into the cabinet, no data can be read, manipulated, or downloaded.
